Hi All,
I have a very sick 200 machine here, IE wont run at
all, and whenever I click on my computer or anything else
that brings up explorer, explorere dies, the desktop
dissapears and then explorer restarts itself.

I have disabled all startup items in hk_lm/./././run

have run a chkdsk.
have run sfc /scannow
have run 2k install cd and dont an automatic repair.

I can run all applications, and open dialogues work in all
applications. (cept explorer and ie)

Have run a virus scan and nothing found, have run a spyware
scan and deleted everything.

Cant find much at all on any search engines or in the kb
relating to this and would realy like to find out what it
is instead of resorting to a reinstall.

Regards
Robert

Remove IE 6 return to a prior version of the browser. Run sfc Then reapply the Service Pack level you are at. Then reapply IE 6. Then install only October 2003 cumulative update. Reboot after each step. In the meantime do this:
Start | Run | regsvr32 /u thumbvw.dll | OK | OK.
