When looking at the available drives in either MY COMPUTER
or WINDOWS EXPLORER, the CD drive, D:, displays the same
label no matter which cd is in the drive. If I right click
the drive and click properties, the correct label is
displayed, and the files on the cd can be accessed without
any problems. It's really just a minor inconvenience, but
if someone has run across this before, I would appreciate
their help. TIA.

Make sure that the Shell Hardware Detection service is running or you
get that kind of effect.

Michael,
Thanks for the quick reply. I checked for that service,
and it's not in the list of servcies. I'm running Win2K,
SP4. Is this service common to W2K or another OS? Thanks
again for your help.

Steve
