Hi,

I'm trying to install Win2K on a box and the system crashes repeatedly at
the "Installing Devices" stage of the install. This is after the initial
install portion, which goes smoothly, and then the system reboots. At this
point the system says "...Installing Devices such as keyboard and
mouse....this could take several minutes....your screen may flicker." The
screen flickers black for a moment, then goes black with grid of white
characters, and just hangs there.

Any suggestions?

PS -hardware is an Asus P3V4X, 667 MHz PIII CPU, 128MB RAM, ATI Video AGP,
Sound Blaster PCI, and 10/100 PCI NIC, Floppy, CDROM, CDRW.

Thanks,
Jason

No, I haven't checked. It's all pretty standard hardware...Asus, Intel,
ATI, Creative Labs, etc.... Nothing out of the ordinary. I'll try to dig
it up and have a peak, though.

In a last ditch effort you may want to remove/disconnect all extra hardware
and install into a minimul sys
