Hello,

since I'm now trying hard since days allow me to ask for help. The win2k
client is not able to connect to the xp server. even pings don't arrive.
The XP firewall was already configured such as the network bridge
(comprising LAN and BLUETOOTH with shared acces to the Internet) is
excempted or allowed to use file and printer sharing, UDP etc.
But the server has full access to the client (the files which have been
allowed to be accessible)! Vice verse no chance to connect to the server.

Other software running on the server is MS antispyware, Norton ghost and
antivirus, ADSL modem is connected via USB.

many thanks for tips.

try to disable all firewall first. then use net view command to troubleshooting. if it is error 5, this is permission error; if it is error 53 it may
be the connection or name resolution issue. this step by step troubleshooting may help.

troubleshooting is not accessible error Troubleshooting "... is not accessible" error step by step ... Troubleshooting step by step:. A. Is a firewall blocking the LAN traffic? Ping it by IP. ...
