Win2k can't see XP machine on network, why ?

I've been playing with this for awhile. I have a win2k
machine and XP machine on the same corporate network (or
even local hub) Both have sharing enabled and shared
folders, and are set up with guest accounts.

My W2k machine can see & share files with other W2k
machines no problem, but a W2k machine can not get to a XP
machine !!

All I've found is that Xp doesn't support Netbui anymore,
and if I install this it should work. None of our XP
machines came with a XP CD !.
What 2 do, what 2 do ?

You don't need NetBEUI. TCP/IP works just fine.
Is the built in firewall on the XP PCs turned off?
