I'm getting a blank screen upon logon, no icons or anything.

This is the solution someone found.

Renamed the SHWAPI.dll file and replaced it with a new copy of it in
winnt\system32. Rebooted computer and it started working properly again.



Anyone know more about this file or exactly how someone came up with this
solution?

Good one. Search for SHWAPI.* on C: returned nothing. This file is not
existent on my Windows 2000 Professional, SP4, IE6. If you not jocking post
a proper name for this file, I'll look into this.

I cant find it myself on my computer but its on the users computer. This is
why i wanted to know more about it.....
