just got AOC 17" lcd monitor

using drivers for win2K on the supplied floppy

I find that using all the available configuration the fonts,
while readable are not the best, some coloured fonts, such
as blue links are very coarse and appear to consist of 2
shades of blue in random pixels.

Any suggestions ? could there be anything in the config of
win2K that I may have missed ? or are all LCD monitors like
this ?

Came froma 17" CRT not flat

thanks

Make sure that your screen resolution agrees with the native
resolution of your LCD monitor.

Thee are a number of supported resolutions and I have tried
them all, perhaps it is a part of the difference between LCD
and CRT - in the rendering of the fonts

There also appears to be a "mind" difference in coming from
a non flat CRT to to flat LCD - optical illusion.

thanks

All LCD screen support several resolutions, but only the native
resolution produces a really crisp and clear picture. The other
ones are compromises that result in fuzziness. This is one of the
major differences between a CRT and an LCD monitor.

thanks - their recommended resolution of 1280x1024x60 is the
worst of the lot, will play around a bit more - appreciate
the feedback
