I have two machines, in different locations, running an industrial application
all day long. The operators are logged in as users.
After about eight hours of continuous operation, "something" hangs, and it is
necessary to restart Windows. It happens at the same time every day.
If they stop the process somewhere in the middle of the day, and reboot, the
system will be fine for the rest of the day.
These are standalone computers, not connected to any network. They have never
seen the internet. They do use a lot of serial I/O through six installed Com
Ports.
Any ideas would be most welcome, as these interruptions are costly to the
client.
