Hello

the new task manager on win2003 is very cool :)

It shows the network load, connected users and many other things that
win2k's task manager doesn't show.

Is there any upgrade available for win2k that would give its task
manager the same neat options that win2003 has?

Thanks

Not unless there is a thrid party solution.

I s'pose it may be possible to copy the 2003 version of taskmgr.exe into a
win2k system. But for God's sake, BACK UP FIRST.

Of course, win2k might not let you even attempt.

If it works (or not), let the group know.

Nope it doesn't work because taskmgr.exe file looks for stuff inside the ntdll.dll.

Does anyone know if there is a third-party solution?

Thanks

Not in a single package that I know of. Individual capabilities may
exist as separate utilities for W2K. Some in the Support Tools and
Resource Kit, 3rd-party, etc. And Permon can monitor for example
certain network performance counters. Specific desired info might
help.
