Are there any add-on modules that will let me do simple CD writing and
copying with a 2003 server ?

I really don't want all the bells, whistles, and meaningless overhead
of something like Roxie/Easy CD. I try to keep all application crap,
for lack of a better term, off my server (As a result it's a low level
machine that boot and runs incredibly fast :-).

So, simple is better. Maybe there's someway to bootstrap something
native from XP on top to do this basic work?

Thoughts invited.

Thanks,

Thanks,

I think you will find that all the bells and whistles are just lead in and lead
out's, all to do with an agreed format so that everybody writing a CD and then
having an interest in reading it also - will be able to do so because it is done
up to a standard.

It is to be hoped that nobody will take the time to invent yet another standard.
You are of course at liberty to work one out yourself, as long as you keep it to
yourself and do not inflict other people with it.

I've found that this program more or less just works. It cannot do
dvds, however.
