Win2000 ?

I am running Win98SE on a compaq machine, AMD 450mh.
The 98SE is awful, crashes all the time. I was thinking of changing OS
but I don't think the machine will handel XP.
Is Win2000 a more stable choice?

It is a very stable OS, however I would make sure you can get drivers for
all your present hardware before you consider it. Win98 drivers will not
work with Win 2000.
