win2000 wont recognize HD capacity

i have a WD 60 gig and a MAxtor 80 gig HD and win2000 wont
accurately recognize their capacitites...both show up as
less than their rated capacity....how do i fix this?

If it is just 3 or 4 gig less then what you are seeing is the true
formatted capacity of the drive. It is not a Windows problem.
