Be advised of the following (posted on the Microsoft SP2 web page:

In a settlement agreement reached in January 2001 to resolve a dispute over
Microsoft's distribution of its Java implementation, Sun and Microsoft
agreed to limit the duration of Microsoft's use of Sun's source code and
compatibility test suites to support the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine
(MSJVM). Microsoft began phasing out the MSJVM in its products after the
settlement was reached. Recognizing the need to provide a smooth transition
for current users of the MSJVM, Sun Microsystems and Microsoft have agreed
to extend Microsoft's license to use Sun's Java source code and
compatibility test suites. This extension allows Microsoft to support the
MSJVM until September 30, 2004, and gives Microsoft the ability to address
potential security issues, effectively giving customers another year to
manage the transition. As a part of the phase out of the MSJVM, Windows 2000
Service Pack 2 (which includes the MSJVM) and Security Patches for Windows
2000 Service Pack 2 will no longer be available for download after June 30,
2004.
