Well, I have some further info that might help solving
this problem.

When the problem occurs, the Windows Active Directory is
down, and by that I mean that I cannot access anything in
it. The NetBIOS doesn't respond as well. The DHCP is
also down, with an error message telling us that there is
not enough storage space even though there is about 2 Gb
of free disk space remaining on the Server's hard drive
(on C:\ only, and much more on other drives). Also, we
can ping other computers on the network from the server,
but we cannot go on shared and/or mapped drives from those
computers.

Hope this will shed some light on the cause of this
particular problem of mine... :)

Server and all clients got the ms03-026 patch installed, right? You did
check if the msblast.exe-proces didn't run, right?
Anything in the eventlogs?

Yes, the patch was installed on all computers even before
the Blaster Worm was discovered. In fact, the problem
first appeared weeks before Blaster came to be known. I
scanned for viruses with the latest virus definition and
didn't find a thing, so I think we can rule it out.

Thanks anyway. :)
