win2000 script error

I have win2000 profession edition as my OS. during start-
up of pc i get the follwing message:

Windows script Host
Script: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\KERNEL32.DLL
Line: 1
Char: 3
Error: Invalid character
Code: 800A0408
Source: Microsoft VB Script compilation Error

I enter OK button nd system functions normally. How do I
eliminate this error message.
