I have a Windows2000 SP4 server acting as a RAS server on our NT4
domain.
Until about a month ago, it worked great. The only changes made to
the machine have been moving from SP3 to SP4 and all the recent MS
hotfixes.
Anyhow, it now will not authenticate users. I have full IAS logging
turned on and I can see that at the time that it stopped working it
also stopped logging the usernames of attempted logins.
This has been more than frustrating. I have deleted the RAS server
and reconfigured it...but with no luck.
The clients receive the message "Error 721 the remote computer is not
responding", but I can't get it to respond. All clients are 2000 or
XP and I have the server and clients set to use MS CHAP or MS CHAP2
over PPTP.
What I don't get is that it was working fine...now it doesn't...
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Kevin Matthews
