I recently installed Win2000 Pro and, after about a week,
the system quit shutting down. Reinstalled OS, taking
great care with administration settings. Worked OK for
about a week, now it is happening again. Anyone else out
there have this problem?

What's exactly happening? If the operating system is just hanging at the on
the saving to disk part of the shutdown process then you you could try
altering the waittokillapp in the registry and lower the setting in
milliseconds. Also may be worth taking a look at the knowledge base and just
typng in hanging on shutdown.

Adrian
