Hello
I've got a Windows2000 network here which started to act funny after
updating with the latetest Microsoft Security Patches.

The following Probs occured:

1. I cannot access the configurations menu of my network card anymore
becaus I'm told that there's no network adapter installed. (But acces
to the Internet works fine)

2. I cannot access my TCP/IP settings anymore

3. When trying to access a network drive, no matter of the user name,
access is
denied and I'm told that the current user has no right or doesn't
exist.

4. Having also a WinXP System a similar problem as described in 2.
occured.

All these problems only occured after updating with the lates
Microsoft patches. A removal of these patches did however not take
care of the probs.
Does anybody here know the reason and sollution for this odd
behaviour?

Thanks
Christoph

Do you have administrator rights, if not the new security
patches might have take away some rights you used to
have. Its just a thought, I could be wrong.

Yes I've got all access to the adminitrator accounts. Doesn't matter
how I'm logged in. It's always the same problems
