Win XP wont let me set up a 56kps Network Connection

I reloaded WinXP Home. My 56kps modem connections would
not work. I deleted them and tried to create new
connections. The Network Wizard did not give me a Modem
option during set up.
My PC has a DSL modem which I do not use.
The help line said it was a Microsoft fault.

So I cannot go online.

Please help.

Go the the modem vendor's support site and obtain any required drivers,
software, and installation instructions.
