I have an AMD 1800+XP system running 256 MB DDRAM (333) on an ASUS A7V333
motherboard.

I'm currently running win 2k and wanted to go to XP.

I installed XP from scratch (as opposed to going through the upgrade
process). Installation went fine/smooth until the very end (last reboot).

I get the Admin login page, but the display is garbled! The screen is
squeezed in the top left portion of the monitor and contains a lot of
horizontal black lines.

I'm suspecting it's my video card (AGP Sapphire Radeon 64MB).

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi Khaled Sultan,

have you try the save mode (press F8 during boot) and install a new driver for
your video card ?

I've seen the same squeezing at the top left corner of the screen with my
PowerColor Radeon 9800 Pro using the default drivers loaded during the WinXP
installation. This was corrected by installing ATI's Catalyst drivers (any
version I've tried, from 3.8 through 4.2). Does installing ATI's own driver
solve this problem?
