Win XP Taskmanager problem

Hiya.

I have a problem with task manager (taskmgr.exe) in XP. I don't know exactly how I or the other user of the PC did this, but:
I no longer have any tabs, or even a toolbar on my task manager window. When I press ctrl+alt+delete, I should get task manager with tabs like 'performance', as well as a toolbar. Well, I don't anymore. I did once. I don't know what got changed, but it is driving me nuts trying to figure this out. There are no window controls, no close, restore, or min/max buttons. Nothing. Just a box in grey with very minimal info in it. It still displays running task info, but that is it, no other info is in the box. I wouldn't even call it a window anymore. To turn it off, I must use the task bar. Currently, I am stuck on the 'processes' aspect of task manager and cannot exit it. Right click will only allow me to end process trees or processes. I can of course just end taskmagr with the tool bar, but I want it back to it's original status. I have talked to someone who accidentally did this as well, and he has forgotten how he restored taskmgr. Help! The PC works flawlessly and I have no other XP troubles. I know that this was a user's settings error of some type, not a virus or anything- this happened before I established an internet connection from this machine.

Thank you in advance for any help
