I am unable to see the Security Tab by looking at the properties of a folder
called c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\

I only see 3 tabs on my screen and I don't know how to get the security tab.

Can someone help.

Gary

In XP Pro, open Windows Explorer and go to Tools, Folder Options, View. Scroll down and uncheck Use simple file sharing.

In XP Home, by default, you can only see the Security tab when booted in Safe Mode.

How Do I Get the Security Tab in Properties - XP Home (makes the Security tab appear outside of Safe Mode)
http://www.dougknox.com, Win XP Tips section

Additionally, your hard disk must be formatted with the NTFS file system to see the Security tab, at all.

I just tried that (I have Win XP Sp2 Pro) and it didn't work.

How do I check which format my disk was in??? It was done by Dell.

Thanks,

Gary
