I have heard that in linux if you use the Administrator account rarely then
you are less likely to be hit by a virus, is this also true for windows xp?
Like if you make everyone a user with limited access, then does that mean
that the os is more protected ?

Thx

Why you should not run your computer as an administrator

The same holds true simply because if malicious code is executed while you
are logged on as an administrator or power user then potentially a lot more
damage can be done to the operating system because administrator/power user
can write to any folder in the operating system other than possibly user
profiles other than their own account and the administrator account can also
create new services. --- Steve
