win xp restart instead of shutdown

suddenly my pc restart instead of shutdown i searche every where but non of
the solution were helpful.
i have win xp professional sp3. i donot have any roxio program. i didnot
add new sofware or drivers. when i stop automatic restart and i got the blue
screen giving me the error (0x00000000) only no numbers. i have avira
antivirus premium updated and show no viruses. helllllllllllllllllllp please

Did/have you switched the system off without going through the proper
shutdown ?
