When requested the boot presents Safe Mode screen. No options will function
to provide windows xp os. The safe mode selection will provide Windows xp
logo and a functioning arrow cursor. That is all, it is locked up it seems.
Can Not boot from xp install disk, seems it cannot find the two disk drives?

booting from an xp
setup/install disk has
to be the ultimate concern.

therefore, double check
your bios/cmos settings
and ensure that the boot
from cd is enable.

also, be sure that you are
booting with a genuine
cd and not a recovery or
restore disk.

if you still cannot boot via
the above method, then
you have a hardware problem.

To boot from the optical drive: Enter the BIOS, usually by tapping F2 as
the computer starts (however, the key may be different in your
computer.) Once in the BIOS, set your computer to boot from the optical
drive first.
