I've set up a user acct on my computer. The user cannot access the Internet
using IE6, but can using Mozilla. I'm using xp pro/svc pk 2. I have
installed latest updates and patches for xp and IE with no change. Have
modified user acct permissions, checked registry entries for IE, but have had
no luck. Thanks for the help.

Hello Sandi,
IE activates. The msg is as follows:
The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be
experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser
settings.

The user account can access the Internet using FireFox/Mozilla browsers.
I've checked IE properties/permissions and related registry entries. Just
think I've missed a check somewhere. Probably something obvious. I've also
gone through and registered the dll's just in case. I appreciate your
assistance.

IE6 will not launch w/ my userid

I am experiencing the same thinkg. After a recent re-installation of Win XP Pro and updte to SP2, IE6 will not launch under my userid. When I right click the IE icom, select 'run as', and select another user, all is well.

Can anyone point me to the proper configuration file/utility? I'm fairly sure that there is a glitch in the config somewhere?

Thanks!

Hello Sandi,
The problem is with the user account. The admin acct can access the
Internet with IE6. The user acct cannot, but the user acct can access with
any of the other 3 browsers on the machine. I'm wondering if it's a
permisssions issue specific to IE, but I've checked and don't see it. Thanks.
