Hi James
Log onto the local machine as administrator.
go to the Network Identification tab in my computer
properties, click the change button and join machine to
the domain manually. At this point you should be prompted
for the domain admin username and password.
You could prefix this with domain name
eg. "domainname"\username and follow this with the domain
admin password. This is the sure way to do it.
If you have Trend PC-Cillin or Office scan, uninstall
this first...not disable but Un-Install completely.
If this doesn't work, try using a lmhosts file.
Best of Luck
Wes

Thanks for the reply.
I was able to join the domain after entering the proper
user name passwords etc.. It did get the Welcome to the
domain message and the message the settings wouldnt take
affect until after a reboot. But after the reboot i tried
to login thats when i got the domain wasnt available. In
the system properties the domain is the correct one.
