Hello,
I've attempted to install Win XP pro on my notebook. Win XP home was
installed inititially. I used the upgrad option. But in trying to install
the pro version the install program failed and I got what I think is called
"the blue screen of death", with an error message: BAD_POOL_CALLER and
further instructions to disable BIOS memory options such as caching and
shadowing.
It also says to start in safe mode.
It can't go into safe mode because the Win XP pro installation program keeps
trying to run.
I'm afraid I've really wrecked my notebook computer.
And no I've got no bkup disks or any of the other recommended options. In
future I will, if I can get my notebook back.
Any advice greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance
Jake
