Hi, I have a small problem. On my Windows 2000 (SP4)
network I have a Windows XP Pro computer which I want to
use as a print server. I have install 3 Xerox Printers,
3 Brother printers and can access (install etc) them over
the network.

My problem is that sometimes a client computer brings the
message that the max. users are connected to the
computer. After a while when I try again I can access the
XP print server.

Is this a question of licences ????
Or can I configure the number of computers that access
the server ???

As an extra note I will install a GB network card this
week in the computer.

Thanks for any help in advance.

XP Pro has a maximum of 10 simultaneous connections. If you need more, it's
time to move to a Server O/S. The first step up is the Windows 2003 Small
Business Server which has a limitatation of 75 simultaneous connections.
After that, it's the full blown Windows 2003 Server family which have
unlimited connections.

The is no way to change the limitation in XP Home (5) and XP Pro (10).
Windows 2000 Professional has the same connection limitation as XP Pro.
