it's a bit trivial i know...
in the winxp start menu and in internet explorer, i really dislike that
effect where, if the list of menu options is long, the list will appear
shortened, with arrows to extend the list if desired.
i just want all my apps/favourites/whatever to be visible in the
start/favourites/whatever menu; i don't care if i have to scroll.
does anyone have any hints for tweaking this annoyance?

For Internet Explorer, select Tools/Internet Options/Advanced tab. Remove
the check mark from the "Use personolized Favorites" option.

For the Start Menu, right click the Start button and select
properties/Customize button/Advanced tab. Scroll down to the "Scroll
Programs" option and remove the check mark.

thanks ronnie for your help

just one thing- i found that in start menu the right optionto uncheck was
the personalised menu one rather than the scroll programs one for my
purposes anyway. now they both work they way i prefer.
thanks, wouldn't have discovered those things myself for awhile!

To read them all; try pressing and holding the DOWN ARROW
on your keyboard.
By the way; MENUs won't "SCROLL". they just run off the
edge of the screen (if badly programmed) or appear in
multi-columbs, or use this arrow-thing. It's everywhere
now days!
