During normal use my system will at random power off, the
system has been restored to factory with service pack 1
installed, the shutdown is not due to standby or sleep
modes. when it rebbots somtime it will state that there
is a corrupt CAB file but how can this be as it was
recently restored with all info...

If you get a dialogue box with an error message you can
sometimes learn something by searching for that error
message in Google.
