Dear All,

I am having a terrible time with my XP Pro machines
lately!
The network was running fine and so were all the other XP
clients.
We got these brand new 4, HP and Compaq and DELL PC's
with XP PRO in it.I configured all the PC's and joined
them in our domain. It was all working fine.We noted
then, that as soon as the user restarts the PC and then
type his network login and id,the pc cant login!
Again,if I disconnect it from the domain and rejoin it,it
works for the first time and then as soon as the PC
restarts,it again give errors saying windows cannot find
the doamin controller!

On the domain controller i can see these error messages
for those PC's
"The session setup from the computer DENZIL failed
because there is no trust account in the security
database for this computer. The name of the account
referenced in the security database is DENZIL$".

Any help will be appreciated!

this sounds like someone or something is deleting your computer objects from
your domain or the machines are joining 1 domain controller then on a
reboot, contacting another and replication is broken between the two.

for the first case you can verify that the Computer object is infact still
in the domain (you can use Domain Users and Computers and find the computer
name to do this). if its not in the domain then you will need to find out
what is deleting the accounts.

if it is in the domain and you have more then 1 domain controller then you
will need to run "repadmin.exe /showrepl" on each domain controller and note
the failure reasons and reply back with them so we can help you out further.

Hi Jeromy,

Thanks for your help..I was really getting a hard time in
just finding out what the problem is!!
Now I went into ADUC and I was surprised to see that
there is no computer account for those 4 new
machines, although they are logged on the network!
Now how do I find out how they are being deleted?

Any help to resolve this problem will be much appreciated
and this will mean i can then sleep after 2 days..finally!

Thanks and waiting for your help.
