Hello there.
I exhausted my resources about this. There seem to be lots
of good info in the web, but don't seem to be helping me.
Here is the situation:
3 XP SP1 PC's
1 98 PC (but mostly off)
All connected to LinkSYS 4 wire router, then
the router connects to a cable modem.
All PC's can connect to the Internet, no sweat.
XP's can see each others shared folders, but when clicked
on one, get this error:
zzxxyy is not accessible, you may not....network path not found.
1- TCP/IP installed, and have enabled NetBIOS over it.
2- Can ping any XP PC by IP or Name from any XP PC.
3- Can use \\name or \\I.P Address and connect to it and use shared files.
4- Have the same workgroup name.
5- PC's have unique name with no spaces.
6- In the router setup, I have "filtered" ports 135, 136,
137, 138, and 139. (could this prevent direct sharing access?)
Any clues?
Thanks in advance.
Mike
