Hi,
I have been running three PCs running win 2000 networked
with excellent Internet Connection Sharing, file and print
sharing - for two years without a problem.

I upgraded one of my client PCs to win XP. ICS works
without a problem. I just can't get the file sharing to work.

I installed Win 2000 in this client PC, and everything
worked. So it is not an issue of the router, cable or the
connection setup.

Can someone help, please?

Win XP have more base protection.
Some are:
- Can't share directory as you want if the option is not
selected
- Users without password can't access share from network

Have you shared your directory and selected granted users?
Can you see the share from network?

Mrc,
Thanks for a quick reply.

Yes. A folder in one hard disk and a secondary disk itself
are shared. Yes. I can see them under My Network Places /
Microsoft Windows Network / Home.

The client is able to ping the host, the host is able to
ping the client.

I hope this info helps.

Than you,
Mohanz
