I have 3 desktops with win xp pro, 1 notebook with win xp
pro and 1 notebook with win 95. I can not get network
wizard to run on the host computer. Tried running it
from win xp cd, but when i click the button there is a
quick status window that flashes than nothing. I need
help :-( I'll try anything!

What's wrong with it? Does it come up empty?

It's probably the same problem that keeps the wizard from running. First
make sure your Network Connections Service and Remote Access Connection
Manager service are running. If they are then you probably need to
uninstall your NICs in device manager, reboot and let XP reinstall.

network connections service is not running and remote
access manager will not open at all. I've reinstalled xp
a couple times full install and it still isn't working
right.

What do you mean "will not open at all". What errors do you get when trying
to start the services.

On the main computer is says for both commands:

system error 1058 has occurred.
The service cannot be started, either because it is
disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated
with it.

On the other computers is says for both:

The requested service has already been started.

1. Right click My Computer, Manage
2. Goto Services and Applications, Services in the left pane
3. In the right pane, right click on Network Connection Service and select
properties
4. Make sure the service startup type is Manual
5. Go to the Log on tab.
6. Make sure it is enabled in each hardware profile.

Repeat for the Remote Access Connection Manager service.
