I'm sharing a pc with another user which is not so into the log on/log off
procedure in w2k. I was thinking it would've been easier to use the xp style
logon on my Windows 2000 pc. Is there anyway to do this (download some sort
of add-on ?), or am I forced to buy a new operating system just for this ?

OS: Windows 2000 Proffessional, Service Pack 4

Thanks for the answers, think I'll stick with W2k a while more, I do want
the XP logon screen, but that's all I want form that OS. Too bad it can't be
changed in W2k..

While this site shows how to modify the Win2000 boot screen, perhaps they also have
instructions somewhere on how to perform a similar procedure on WinXP:

Ok, well that's the boot screen, what I want is the "logon screen" of Winxp.
But its more than just replacing a bitmap picture I guess. On the xp logon
you choose which user to log on by clicking the belonging icon/picture. Much
is mostly the same between the two OSes (the core for instance), but this
logon feature is maybe impossible to "borrow" into w2k ?
