win xp install help

I never had issues before especially this one...maybe someone can help
me out.....I am trying to do an install of win xp pro...but no go....i
installed win ME first...that installed finally after some issues....i
put xp cd in to install and it analyzes the computer and then has to
restart....on the very first restart when my computer goes to restart
it gets stuck when its trying to boot and says "Verifying DMI pool
data......" just sits there and I have no idea why its doin
this...some1 plz help!!!
 
Hi,

You either have some faulty hardware or the BIOS settings are incorrect for
the hardware. Things you can do:

- Make sure that you are using BIOS defaults
- Ensure that the clock speed has not been tweaked
- Disconnect unneeded peripherals
- Update the BIOS to the most recent release
- Run a system memory check (see below)
- Run a drive diagnostic utility from the manufacturer.
