hi all. slight problem, doing my head in!! when i boot up
windows decides to load 2 lots of each program in my start
up folder. when i've run msconfig it shows 2 instances of
each program in the start menu - one for current user and
one for all users. if i uncheck 1 of these groups then
reboot then i don't get anything loading on start up.
double or nothing is good when it's for money, but not
with software!!

does anybody have any ideas? do i need to move the start
up shortcuts to a different folder? if so, which one?!

cheers in advance

Hi,

Delete the shortcuts in either the allusers startup folder, or in your user
account folder.

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

cheers but there's only one instance of each of the shortcuts that loads twice

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup ---> has shortcut
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Start Menu\Programs\Startup --> is empty..

any other ideas? any registry stuff that may cause it
