Win XP..device manager shows 2nd hard drive..but no drive icon

Newbie here. I built a new system from scratch. Everthing went well. I
booted Win XP fine. Few days later I added a 2nd hard drive (Sata
drive)and the device manager shows it with no conflicts.

My problem is that it does not show up a a drive icon in "My Computer"

I read a simular post to assign the 2 dvd-drives to different drive
letters..

I do see a floppy drive icon but don't have a floppy drive

Any Ideas..Thanks in advance

You need to add a partition and format it using Disk Management in Control
Panel.

Control Panel>Performance and Maintenance>Administrative tools>Computer
Management>Storage>Disk Management
