I have an Epson Perfection 1240U scanner. Epson has not fully updated
the software for WINXP, and the one program which is completely broken
is the copier utility. Fair enough, as it is a long discontinued
model. While I can still copy stuff by using multiple programs, it is
much more convenient to have a dedicated program. Can anybody
recommend a good replacement? It doesn't need to be fancy, but work
with this scanner, WINXP, and a HP deskjet printer.

Thanks,

Alan

I use Irfanview for quick copies. It has a TWAIN interface and good Printer
Setup dialog.
It will even resize the scan for the printer. The best part, it is free.

Irfanview does not use the button on the scanner, but that is no problem.

I would not have guessed the program had a copier function from the
web site. In any case, the Copy Shop function works perfectly, and is
in some ways even better for my casual use than the Epson/Newsoft
program.

Thanks!!
