Win XP asking to choose program to open C: or D:

while tryind to open C: or D: from my computer window it shows a list of
programs available and asks to chose any one to open the C: or D: with.
if i chose internet explorer then it opens.
but that should open automatically in windows explorer window by default.
How to solve this???

Click Win XP Fixes in the left column

On the page that opens, in the left column, click
file association fixes.

Read the explanatory information at the top about how these fixes work and

Then click Drive association fixes.
