I have a problem with one office PC. For some unknown reason the pc
drops the scanner drivers on each shutdown or reboot. If I unplug the
USB cable, and go into the device manager and delete the drivers
reboot, connect the scanner, pc finds the drivers and all is well
until next shutdown/reboot.
I have run several anti-virus programs and several spy ware programs
and the pc seems to come up clean.
If anyone has any ideas to help, I would greatly appreciate it.

Assign your scanner a permanent drive letter way down the alphabet away from
A B C D
XP isn't good with things that can be removed/not always plugged in.

Not every scanner has a "removable" flash/card reader drive. Most
scanner only units can not have a drive assigned to is (it is not a
removable drive.)

Well, I really appreciate you both getting back to me with a
suggestion, however, I do not believe that this scanner has a drive
letter assigned to it.
Are there any other WAG's that may be able to help me out or should I
try another group?
