Win XP and MSIE 6.??

Stability/file verification issues: install fresh ver of
XP HE, installed MSIE, then updated from MS's donwload
page for "internet" and then downloaded/ran "ie6setup"
and let it do its update: now I have two reported
missing files:

iecont.dll
iecontlc.dll

what do these files control and what is the likelihood of
msie being unstable until able to find and then install
these missing files. YOUR immediate response requested,
thank you.

Was your anti-virus application disabled and were all running processes
closed prior to downloading/installing the updates?

Start>Run>sfc /scannow should sort it out. See..
