Win popup

I used a program caled win popup on my windows xp
computer to communicate with people on my network. I have
just bought a new windows xp computer but can't seem to
find win popup or any other similar program on win xp.
Does anyone know where it is or whether there is a new
program which does the same thing with out using the
internet?

You can use net send to send messages on your internal
network.

Example

net send me hello

net send it the command, me is the user name or pc name
and then just type a message.
