J JD Nov 10, 2007 #2 Does anyone know how to stop Windows Media Player from constantly begging to get on the internet? JimL Click to expand... I'm using Media Player Version 10. Open Media Player, click on Tools, Options, Player tab. You can set it to check for updates once a month. That's about the best I can do. You could look into Media Player Classic: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Media_Player_Classic But I'm not familiar with this program.
