Win ME to XP home update

Is there a way to capture the update files that are downloaded after
installing the XP home update kit? Need to update to XP on a unit that has
dial-up only. The 10's of megabytes of downloads required will take hours.
I have computers that are updated regularly. Are the downloads available to
copy to a cd to transport to the dial-up unit?

I'd probably rather transport the computer to a place with broadband,
myself!

You need SP2, for one thing - start there.

And then try

The Win XP update includes SP2. It is all the patches that follow that are
of concern. The second site above only has .net and media player, not the
security updates.

No, it's got updates.
