I have 2 Win 98 computers and a WinXP professional
computer. When I go to Network Neighborhood on the Win 98
machines I can see both of them but not the Win Xp pro
machine. When I go to My Network Places on the Win XP
machine I can see only the XP machine and not the other 2
98 machines. I have run the "Netwotk Setup Wizard" disk on
the 98 machines. They are on the same workkgroup, I have
NetBIOS over TCP/IP enabled on the laptop. I can ping the
Win Xp machine using I.P from both machines and get a
reply but when I try the same using computer name I
get "Unknown Host". However I can ping the 98 machines
using computer name from the Win XP machine.Any help or
pointers in the right direction would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks,
Lakshman
