Win 98 Password change issue won W2k3 Server

When passwords expire on W2k3 server with a Win 98 client. They are prompted
to change there password. However when they do change it an error occurs as
follows:

Unable to change the password for Microsoft Networking because of the
following error: The computer name specificed in the network path cannot be
located

This only effect a few 98 PC as some other are fine.

Any ideas?
 
98 computers cannot join a domain so I have to say this is real confusing.
Users using 98 is a HUGE security risk, basically very little to none. Talk
management in to replacing machines.

Have you had these users try and modify them on a more current client o/s?
