win 98 and outllok 2002

After installing outlook 2002 and microsoft mail on a win
98 machine outlook will not open. I have uninstalled m
mail and office xp and reloaded jsut office xp and
outlool will still not open. I get safe mode message and
then detect and repair and neither fix the problem.
Please help I need to use an inter office email system in
my school.

MS Mail is not supported with Outlook 2002. However, the following web page
