My os is windows 95, and when i try to install xp home
edition it tells me that it cannot upgrade(or update)
because there are missing files. Is there a patch of
files that i can download somewhere, or is there a method
to bypass this.
 
Windows XP doesnt support Upgrade installs from windows 95. you have to do
a clean install.

Read the outside of the box. One cannot upgrade from Windows 95
to Windows XP. You'll need to perform a "clean install", providing
your computer meets the minimum hardware requirements necessary
to run XP.
